The Kemp-McCarthy Museum is often called one of the finest small museums in New England.

Since its founding in 1963 with the acquisition of the Village School, the museum has grown to include the West School (1785) and several additions.

The Kemp-McCarthy Museum has a large and diverse collection of artifacts. They are attractively displayed throughout the museum complex.
